We went down for a feed for the first time in a while last night. The food is good and serving sizes were good but at the upper end of what I am prepared to pay in the current economic climate. Last time we were there the beers were $9.00 each and I thought that was overpriced, last night they were $12.00 each. This is Jellicoe Street, Te Puke, not Cuba Street Wellington or Queen Street Auckland. I refuse to pay $12.00 for a beer and will stick to water when a restaurant tries to charge me $12.00 for a beer. If the waitress was a drop dead gorgeous young lass I might be tempted but not when it is a skinny little indian boy.

First chance to go out to dinner, just wifey and I, no kids, in 2 years. We'd heard good things about this place, and we love Thai food. It did not disappoint. Quiet Sunday night, so there were only a handful of other guests, and service was awesome, atmosphere was perfect. Our waiter was kind enough to recommend a bottle of wine and balance our level of meal spiciness to our preference. His recommendations were spot on. Thank you. The bill was fair, possibly even a bargain, given how much enjoyment we had. Possibly a biased review here?, given our hiatus from dining out, but we loved it, grateful for a Thai restaurant in Te Puke, and will be returning.

Pretty good takeaway Thai, chicken was a bit dry but that seems to be the way everywhere now. Portion sizes were good, staff were friendly and meals were ready in 10 minutes. We thought it was quite expensive; $20 more than we usually pay for a curry, Pad Thai and curry puffs elsewhere

Last time in May it was packed but mid week last night only 1/3 full. Cool wet night but nice and warm inside. Great service from the sole service staff member - quick, efficient and best of all friendly. Lots of classic Thai meals to choose from. We had the mixed entree to start with which was ok. The boss she had sizzling steak as a msim but cooler on the spice front and I had the Thai beef salad. Excellent salad and done as requested - Thai hot. Very tasty and zingy. Polished off with a couple of Asian beers. Will be back again.
